The most important measurement when wearing a corset is the waist measurement. It needs to fit either snug or tight (1-2" smalled than your actual waist measurement). Use a seamstress measuring tape (flexible) when measuring your waist, bust, and hips. When laced up, traditionally, the lace up forms a "V" with the bottom closed and slowly opening as it goes up your back. Many of the corsets do come with an extra attached cover under the lace up area for coverage. Almost ALL corsets run small, so make sure you measure.
